The Canton Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (CDEI) Committee seeks to foster a welcoming and inclusive community that encourages cooperation and respect among all persons in Canton.

DOVE’s LGBTQIA+ Program offers identity-specific counseling services which are affirming and knowledgeable about the unique challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ survivors of domestic or partner violence, including a support group for LGBTQIA+ survivors.

GLASS provides a continuum of services to LGBTQ+ youth of color and their allies in the Greater Boston and Greater Framingham areas. As a leader in LGBTQ+ youth services, we also provide education and consultation to other providers and community organizations.

PFLAG is a nationwide organization of parents, family, friends, and LGBTQ+ youth that offers help on the topic of sexual and gender identity. The organization seeks to change attitudes and create an environment of understanding so that LGBTQ+ family members and friends can live in a world that is safe and inclusive.

SAGE leads in addressing issues related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning and other self-identifying members of the community (LGBTQ+) aging. In partnership with its constituents and allies, SAGE works to achieve a high quality of life for LGBTQ+ older people, supports and advocates for their rights, fosters a greater understanding of aging in all communities, and promotes positive images of LGBTQ+ life in later years.

SAYFTEE is a socially conscious group practice offering a range of services including family therapy, individual therapy, couple/relationship therapy, groups, workshops, training, consultation, and supervision.

Safe Homes strives to offer support to diverse communities throughout Central Massachusetts. To maintain our values, we follow five Core Values; community, education, engagement, excitement, and activism. These five themes help us in supporting our mission to provide a safe and supportive space for LGBTQIA+ youth and develop a community that is both nurtured and empowered.

Transgender Law Center is the largest national trans-led organization advocating self-determination for all people. Since 2002 they’ve been organizing, assisting, informing and empowering thousands of individual community members towards a long-term, national, trans-led movement for liberation.

Tufts Medical Center strive to provide a welcoming and affirming environment to all patients, employees, and family members of the LGBTQ community. We are here to help LGBTQ patients and their families navigate the resources that exist within our hospitals.

Department of Mental Health Young Adult Resource Guide - LGBTQ

The Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General (AGO) is proud to present the Mental Health and Gender-Affirming Care Resource Guide for Massachusetts LGBTQ2IA+ Young People and Their Trusted Adults.

While this Resource Guide includes information about finding therapists, support groups, and other traditional mental health services or organizations, we have highlighted those that focus on specific needs of LGBTQ2IA+ youth in Massachusetts. As such, the organizations in this Guide provide mental health care that is affirming of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression, including gender-affirming health care; specialized domestic and sexual violence services; housing assistance and shelter; HIV prevention and treatment; and substance use disorder services.

NQTTCN is a community encompassing people of all races and ethnicities (including Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Arab, Middle Eastern, Asian, Pacific Islander, and mixed-race) who are LGBQ/T2 or gender nonconforming, genderqueer, and non-binary. The community is committed to increasing access to healing justice resources for queer and trans people of color.

OutCare is the first comprehensive resource for LGBTQ+ health care in the country, offering provider and health care resource directories, mentorship, medical education reform, and cultural competency training. The website includes a directory of health care providers who identify as culturally competent in LGBTQ+ community care.

Social Justice Books offers carefully selected lists of books for children and educators, book reviews, and articles on social justice, multicultural children’s literature.
