Canton Food Pantry

The Canton Food Pantry provides free food, personal care items, and household products to eligible Canton residents on a temporary basis. We serve many individuals and families who have been affected by economic challenges and we are operated entirely by volunteers who wish to help their fellow community members by providing a basic human necessity. The Canton Food Pantry is sponsored by the Canton Helpline. Note: proof of Canton residency is required on first visit.

Brookwood Community Farm’s mission is to build a farm-centered community united by a shared passion for sustainable agriculture, fresh local food and a commitment to increasing access to healthy food.
Brookwood grows food for members through a community supported agriculture (CSA) model, provides on-farm educational and community-building opportunities, and actively supports food access projects.

The mission of the Department of Elder and Human Services is to assist in the well-being of Canton's older population and residents of any age who are in need of social services due to economic hardship, health issues, family circumstances, or personal loss.

Canton Helpline
The Canton Helpline provides referrals to local social service agencies who can assist callers with basic needs such as food, clothing, furniture, and transportation. In addition, financial assistance is available to help with utility bills and fuel costs. The Helpline also can provide referrals for mental health assistance.
Fair Foods
The goal of Fair Foods is to make a healthy diet of fresh fruits and vegetables affordable. They operate their unique $2 Bag Program at several local sites, including:
-Stoughton YMCA (445 Central St.): every other Wednesday from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.
-Brockton Trinity Baptist Church (1367 Main St.): Alternate Thursdays 2:30-4:00 pm.
-Quincy Manet Health Center (110 W. Squantum St.): Alternate Wednesdays 2:30-3:30 pm.
Farmers Market Nutrition Program
The Massachusetts Farmers Market Program gives seniors and families coupons to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at Farmers Markets.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can help you expand your healthy food budget and explore opportunities to support your wellbeing and education and employment goals.
Women, Infants, & Children Nutrition Program (WIC)
WIC is a nutrition program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and other services, free of charge, to Massachusetts families who qualify.
